The Driftwood battalion (Engine 62 and Brush Truck 62) responded to a motor vehicle accident on RR967 at approximately 20:40.April 10, 2012,

The Driftwood battalion responded to a controled burn that has gotten away from the landowner. This was part of a joint effort the North Hays ESD #6 to assist Blanco county. North Hays responded with four brush trucks and two engines, and 10 firefighters.March 2, 2012
The North Hay ESD #6 recognized individual firefighters for their contributions throughout the last year. In addition to the ESD #6 members, there were fire fighters from neighboring districts. Buda, Lake Travis, and Wimberly were in attendance. The ESD #6 took this opportunity to thank thier neighbors for thier assistance during this last year.Febraury 4, 2012
The 2012 Intro academy was completed. This was a 90 hour course for our volunteers. They met Wednesdays and Saturdays. The class ended with a highpoint. The class of twenty participated in a live burn at the Buda burn house. For more information please check out the pictures and training pages.October 15th:
Engine 62 joins the Driftwood station. With the additional of the new custom built CAFS Engine 72 to the North Hays Fire and Rescue, the old Engine 72 has been moved to the Driftwood station. It has been renumbered as Engine 62. If you are in the area come and see it.Febraury 2, 2012
